Skin that is brighter and glowing looks healthy and beautiful. Brightening and whitening isn’t the same thing; brightening is the natural glow your skin gives with just a bit of highlighted skin tone.
There are many products available commercially that claim to give you a brightened skin tone but natural ingredients always work the best and many would agree to this. When we talk about skin brightening treatment, how can we not include turmeric? Turmeric is a well-known skin brightening ingredient and below is how you could use it to make a skin brightening face mask along with its benefits:
Turmeric- Turmeric is rich in anti-oxidants that help to deep clean pores, remove dead skin for a smooth skin, reveal healthy skin add a healthy glow! It also has great skin brightening and anti-tanning properties.
Chickpea flour- just like turmeric has skin brightening effects. It also is a natural skin exfoliator that removes dead skin cells and keeps skin fresh, soft and brighter.
Yogurt – not only evens out your skin tone, but it also keeps your skin clear and bright.
RECIPE FOR TURMERIC SKIN BRIGHTENING FACE MASK:
Things you need-
- 1 tablespoon organic chickpea flour
- 1/4 teaspoon organic wild turmeric powder
- Yogurt to form a spreadable paste
In a bowl, add turmeric, and flour. Mix roughly. Now, add in yogurt little by little until a spreadable paste is formed.

Note: The mask will stain your skin initially but it will eventually go away, you can use a toner or a sugar scrub to exfoliate the skin. You can use Kasturi turmeric which is non-staining. Regularly using this face mask (3 times a week) will gradually improve your skin tone and make it brighter.
