RICE WATER SHAMPOO

Rice water is getting quite popular in the beauty industry and is now found in so many hair care and skincare products as well. But, commercial products also contain tons of synthetic ingredients; if you are looking out for an all-natural shampoo infused with rice water, below is a recipe-

RICE WATER SHAMPOO

BENEFITS:

Fermented rice water- Balances hair and scalp pH, Fights dandruff, nourish hair follicles and boost hair growth, gradually makes hair thicker and shinier.

Lavender oil- Adds fragrance, adds shine and makes hair stronger and smoother.

Castile soap- Natural soap that contains no SLS.

Things you need-

  • 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
  • 1/2 cup fermented rice water
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

Directions-

To make fermented rice water, first rinse the rice with about a cup of water to remove any dirt or impurities. Then soak 1/3 cup organic rice in 1/2 cup water for 2 hours in room temperature and strain. If its winter, soak for 4-5 hours. The liquid should smell a bit pungent.Mix together rice water and castile soap (or any natural liquid soap base) in a jar. Add in lavender oil and stir gently.Transfer to a pump bottle and store the shampoo in refrigerator.
