Oats is a great breakfast ingredient and also makes a healthy and fulfilling smoothie ingredient. Just as it is great for your body, it is equally great for your skin! You may find oat extract as a dominant ingredient in a lot of skin care products including facial creams or body lotions, cleansers, scrubs etc. Here we are with an easy recipe for oat milk cleanser that makes a great facial cleaner as well as body wash:
Oat milk- Has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Helps soothe a sun burn, razor burn, treat body acne or itching.
Jojoba oil- Moisturizes skin, prevents body acne and other skin problems.
Lavender oil- Gives your skin a healthy glow. Also works as a fragrant in the recipe.
Things you need-
- 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
- 1/3 cups oat milk – how to make oat milk
- 10 drops jojoba oil
- 5 drops lavender oil
In a jar, add liquid castile soap and oat milk.
Add in jojoba oil and lavender oil.
Stir gently and pour the prepared solution in a pump bottle.
Use this as a facial cleanser and also as a body wash.
Shelf life of this product is 3-4 days in the refrigerator, so make sure you don’t make a bigger batch.
