DETOX FACE MASK – FOR CLOGGED PORES, ACNE AND BLACK HEADS

Clogged pores, black heads and acne are common skin issues thanks to oily skin, polluted environment and lack of proper skin cleansing. Just like your body needs detoxing once in a while, you skin needs it too! It is important to cleanse the pores and purify your skin at least once in a week to keep it healthy and prevent pore clogging, acne and black heads. Below is how you could make a super-effective skin detox face mask using Indian healing clay also called as Bentonite Clay:

BENEFITS:

Bentonite clay- This miracle clay has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that helps prevent acne and blemishes. This clay also is rich in skin beneficial compounds and minerals that keeps pores clean and prevents pimples due to pore clogging. The clay also helps tighten pores and makes skin soft and improves skin texture gradually.

Apple cider vinegar- This is a well-known skin beautifying ingredient that helps balance skin pH, is anti-microbial in nature and has pore unclogging properties.

Charcoal- Is a great detoxing ingredient that helps adsorb toxins and dirt and deeply cleanses pores.

RECIPE FOR SKIN DETOX FACE MASK:

Things you need-

  • 2 tablespoons pure bentonite clay
  • 1 teaspoon activated charcoal powder
  • Unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar (Quantity as required to make a paste)
  • Water (if you have very sensitive skin)

Directions-

In a bowl, add bentonite clay and charcoal powder followed by apple cider vinegar. Do not use steel utensils for this as the clay can react with metal. Use plastic or wooden cutlery only.

You will see some fizzing. Mix it well and your face mask is ready.If you have very sensitive skin, you can use 50% apple cider vinegar and 50% water.Apply on cleansed skin and let it sit for 10 minutes. Note-

  • Your skin might feel inflamed or red after you wash off the mask but it is temporary and the redness should go away after some time.
  • Do not use the mask on broken skin.
