RECIPE FOR ALL-NATURAL HERBAL SHAMPOO:
Things you need-
- 4 cups of water
- Handful soap nuts (natural cleanser)
- 2-3 pods of shikakai (natural conditioner)
- Citrus peels (cleansing properties and fragrance)
In a saucepan, add water and put it on low flame.
Add in soap nuts and shikakai. Add in citrus peels and let it simmer until the soap nuts and shikakai get mushy.
Turn off the flame and let the solution cool down. Separate seeds from soap nuts and shikakai and squeeze out all the extract. Strain
Store the shampoo in a bottle in refrigerator for upto a week.
Use it just like any other shampoo. To reduce cooking time, you can soak the ingredients in water overnight before cooking.
Note: The shampoo does not foam like regular commercial shampoos but thoroughly cleanses your hair and scalp.
