Aloe vera holds a very important place in Ayurveda and is known to have great health and beauty benefits. Aloe vera can be used to treat a number of hair problems from dryness, dandruff, hair fall, brittle hair etc. and can help keep hair in top condition! Commercially you might find a lot of aloe vera shampoos but even you are aware of the fact that they all contain unwanted synthetic ingredients! Here we are with an all natural aloe vera shampoo-
Goat milk soap base/ glycerine soap base- Goat milk soap base contains goat milk powder that has great scalp and hair moisturizing and nourishing properties. Glycerine soap base contains glycerine that moisturizes hair and scalp. Use any one of them.
Aloe vera gel- Aloe vera has anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. Also keeps scalp calm due to anti-inflammatory properties. Softens hair and makes them silky.
Jojoba oil- Jojoba oil boosts hair growth, moisturizes and nourishes scalp and hair, reduces frizz, keeps dandruff at bay.
RECIPE FOR ALOE VERA SHAMPOO:
Things you need-
- 300 ml filtered or distilled water
- 1/3 cup soap base
- Few drops jojoba oil
- 1 cup fresh aloe vera gel
- 1 capsule vitamin E oil
In a saucepan, add soap base and water. Let the soap melt and turn off the flame.
Meanwhile, in a blender add freshly acquired aloe gel, vitamin e oil and jojoba oil. Blend until well combined.
In a pump bottle, add soap mixture and aloe mixture. Shake g3ently and use.
Remember that the shampoo with have two textures, shake gently before using every time. Follow up with your regular conditioner.
Can be stored for up to a month in the refrigerator.
