Skin soothing gels play an important role in relieving skin inflammation, sun burn, rashes etc. Gels work great especially during the summers as they keep skin hydrated and calms down any sun burn or sweat rash. Aloe gel is widely used as a skin gel but when combined with rose, it has better effects! Below is a recipe for homemade aloe rose gel:
Aloe vera gel- Aloe vera gel Aloe vera gel has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It keeps skin clear, cool, calm and relieves any inflammation.
Rose- Rose keeps skin clear, flawless and glowing.
Peppermint oil- Peppermint oil has skin cooling properties that instantly calms down skin inflammation and soothes any skin condition.
Things you need-
1/2 cup aloe vera gel (preferable store bought for better results)
1 teaspoon rose powder
10 drops peppermint essential oil
In a bowl, add aloe vera gel. Use store bought organic gel as it contains cellulose that works as an emulsifier. Add in essential oil and rose powder.
Mix with a spoon until everything is well combined and emulsified. Store it in a jar and use as and when required.
**Caution: Patch test before using. Never use essential oils directly on the skin, always use them diluted or mixed with other ingredients.
